Collaboration Spotlight: Connecting Talent with Opportunities in the Food Industry with AltProtein

At the European Food Project (EFP), our mission is to support students and recent graduates by giving them opportunities to showcase their talent, develop practical skills, and build meaningful connections within the food industry. Through our food case competitions, participants work on real industry challenges and gain valuable exposure to future career pathways.

We are pleased to collaborate with AltProtein as part of this shared vision to support innovation and the next generation of food professionals.

About AltProtein

AltProtein is a non-profit career platform dedicated to helping people build careers in the alternative protein and sustainable food sector. Through a specialised job board, career resources, and guidance, they connect students, graduates, and professionals with organisations working to shape the future of food.

Their platform supports talent by:

  • Providing access to job opportunities in alternative proteins and sustainable food

  • Offering career guidance and learning resources for early-career professionals

  • Helping employers connect with skilled and motivated candidates interested in food innovation

By focusing specifically on future food systems, AltProtein helps bridge the gap between emerging talent and industry needs.

About Our Collaboration

Together with AltProtein, we aim to strengthen the link between young talent and industry opportunities. By combining practical case challenges with access to real-world networks and career pathways, we help participants move from academic learning into professional careers within the food and alternative protein sectors.

This collaboration reflects our commitment to:

  • Empowering students and recent graduates across Europe

  • Encouraging innovation and fresh thinking in food systems

  • Creating connections between emerging talent and industry partners

  • Supporting career development within the food sector

Opportunities for Students and Graduates

As part of this collaboration, we are happy to share access to AltProtein’s dedicated job board, where students and early-career professionals can explore internships, graduate roles, and other opportunities within the industry.
